Ephesians 2:14
For he himself is our peace, who has made the two one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility
There is nothing as frustrating and depressing as a troubled soul.
No entity can exist and make progressive impact in the absence of peace.
In other words, peace is a necessary ingredient in the soup of life.
Without peace, the soup is scentless, tasteless and unenjoyable.
No wonder the world today talks about peace more than any other thing. To the world, peace is cause and any other thing is effect.
But peace is a person. His name is Jesus. Our passage says that himself is our peace.
This means that he who knows Jesus and relates with him automatically has come to the place of peace. Such a one has entered the realm of peace and would function as such.
By his reconciliatory work on the cross, he purchased and obtained peace by breaking any wall of hostility. This is why Christians no matter our background can co-exist in peace.
Once again allow me to introduce to you JESUS CHRIST, the life giver who is also the peace giver. Peace is he and he is peace therefore if you have him you have peace.
No wonder when his disciples called on him in their moment of despair on the high seas, he spoke peace be still and there was sudden calmness.
Don’t dwell so much on the earthly principles of peace making. Get in touch with the creator and custodian of peace – Jesus Christ.
For he will keep in perfect peace he whose mind stays on him.
And so Lord I pray that you cloth every unstable mind, troubled heart, broken soul, down cast spirit, punched emotions with your peace which surpasses understanding.
Go through the day riding on the wheels of Jesus Christ our perfect peace.
