Revelation 1:17
When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. Then he placed HIS RIGHT HAND on me and said: “Do not be afraid. I am the First and the Last.
Beloved, there are two types of Christ in the bible – the Incarnate Christ and the Glorified Risen Lord.
Who John therefore saw on the Island of Patmos was the glorified risen Lord Jesus Christ.
The amazing spectacle of his manifest presence was awesome and jaw-dropping.
This was not the Christ that John used to lean towards at the table.
This was not the Christ who on the cross askedJohn to take of his mother.
This was the king of kings and Lord of Lords.
No wonder John couldn’t help but fall at his feet as dead but the amazing thing is that Christ placed his right hand upon him.
Beloved, how soothing and assuring is it when a hand is placed on you.
There is this sense of warmth, comfort and solace which comes to the soul how much more the hand of Christ.
The hand of Christ is all powerful.
The hand of Christ heals, refreshes and is caring.
O may the hand of Christ be placed on us. May the hand of Christ touch our soul.
We are broken, discouraged, downtrodden and battered but let the hand of Christ touch us.
May that glorious hand wrap itself around us to bring us a sense of peace, serenity and tranquillity.
O Lord, like Jabez, let your hand be upon us and keep us from harm so that we will be free from pain.
