Luke 19:9
Jesus said to him, “Today salvation has come to this house, because this man, too, is a son of Abraham.
The entire city of Jericho was momentarily at a standstill.
The conversations at street corners, market centres, radios and Jericho social media was just one, a rich man Zacchaeus had climbed a tree to catch a glimpse of Christ.
Little did he know that Jesus was passing through Jericho to give him the wonderful gift of all eternity – SALVATION.
Could this man also be saved? Did he commend such great attention like this? Yes, he did and Christ, the custodian of salvation beckoned and salvation knocked on the door of his heart.
Who would have believed that on the day Jesjesus us passed through Jericho, Zacchaeus would have a life-transforming encounter.
This was not a behavioural modification but an injection of new life for if anyman be in Christ, he is a new creation, old things have passed away, behold all things are become new.
Beloved, this Jesus who is salvation defined, illustrated, explained and contained continues to knock and beckons all men to drink water from him who is the well of salvation.
Behold I stand at the door and knock if any man hears me and opens, I will come in and dine with him.
Can’t you hear the solemn call on the door post of your heart?
Jesus desires to live with you. He desires to fellowship with you. He wants to intimate with you. Can you give him that space, that time, that opportunity to turn your life around?
The world offers you no good thing? It’s not about your credentials, achievements, fame, money or class but it’s Christ having full audience in you, beloved.
Have you backslidden, have you turned your back against him, are you struggling with the issues of life?Are you at your wits end.
Jesus the hub of salvation beckons, come down from that tree of insecurity, hopelessness, inadequacies, incompleteness, brokenness and embrace his comfort.
His desire is only one to live in you, with you all the days of your life that whoseover believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life(John 3:16)
You know why? It’s because the son of man came to seek and to save what was lost.
Can you say Yes to Jesus Christ right now…selah
