1John 5:11-12
And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.
Beloved, have you ever felt confused about your salvation? Do you ask yourself if you are truly saved? Do you sometimes feel unsure if you are truly or genuinely saved or not?
Personally, I believe, it is a satanic ploy from the pit of hell to throw many believers into confusion with all these questions which sometimes degenerate into unending debates.
This is essentially so because once a man gets confused from the basics, building up becomes a challenge.
But the scripture is emphatically clear, there can be no other foundation except that which is laid by and on Christ.
So John, the beloved, stresses clearly, God has given us eternal life and that life is in his Son(Jesus Christ), he who has Christ has life.
This is crystal clear and there is no doubt about it.
Beloved, we read the writings of Paul, Peter and John and do not get the impression that they struggled with their assurance of salvation.
Why should we get confused and be debating on this fact whilst Satan enjoys a field day.
Come to the scriptures in faith with an open mind to fellowship with the Father through the Son under the enablement of the Spirit.
Settle it in your spirit that our assurance is the confident realisation of what we have become, been made and received in Christ – that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
Indeed no man who has had this revelation of Christ hit his spirit will yield his life to darkness, sin and its attendant evil lifestyles.
For a genuinely saved person in Christ daily asks “Lord, what will you have me do” Selah
Pleasing the Father becomes the big deal so how can such a one live anyhow?
SONG
Tell me what can I do
I can’t live without you
Here’s my heart
Here’s my mind
I give you my soul Lord
Need you to take control
Cos I tried it all
I tried it on my own but
What I found is
I can’t make it on my own
