Proverbs 18:10
The name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous man runs into it and is safe.
A man’s safety is of primus importance on his scale of preference.
This is the reason why huge investments are being made worldwide by nations towards the acquisition of sophisticated weapons, training of security forces and building allies with other nations.
All these are aimed at securing the nations against unforeseen attacks.
In our homes, conscious efforts are being made to secure our doors, windows with security doors, CCTV cameras, electric wires because we want to be safe.
All these notwithstanding, how many times haven’t our securities been breached?
Countries have suffered terrorist attacks, mayhems and internal conflicts. Homes have been robbed, broken into and burgled.
Confirming the fact that unless the Lord watches over the house, the watchman watches in vain, every security apparatus is in vain.
This is the more reason why the wise man convincingly has concluded: In the Lord’s name is our safe haven.
In the Lord’s name, every wild element is tamed.
In the Lord’s name, we can walk into our hall of fame.
In the Lord’s name, nothing can frame us into shame.
Guess what! We find rest, peace of mind because Satan has lost the game because we played under the cloud of the Lord’s name.
Don’t forget, his name is our safety. Selah
